Cultural HistoryCroatia is full of cultural history, from the cobblestone streets of small fishing villages along the shore of the Adriatic Sea, to the castles and churches of its interior, there is something for everyone to enjoy. There's the city of Dubrovnik with a pharmacy built in 1317, and walls surrounding the old town that were built from the 12th to the 17th centuries. Then there is the 3000-year-old city of Pula, with its Roman amphitheatre that was opened in 27 B.C. and used in gladiator fights. And there is the capital of Zagreb, with St. Marks church that stretches back to the 13th century.

BeachesWith some of the most beautiful beaches around, Croatia boasts 99 blue flag beaches which is a symbol of Eco-responsibility, signifying pristine waters and cleanliness. Some of the best beaches can be found on a large number of islands in the region, while the mainland also doesn't disappoint in this regard. The crystal clear water with many shades of blue and turquoise are framed magnificently by either mountains, forests or scenic towns. And while most beaches are pebbled beaches, they can still be enjoyed with a good pair of water shoes.
